Wendy Francisco — Resume

Wendy is a creative person, who goes from project to project. This makes for a lengthy resume.

Art
I grew up in a family where the women were artists. Mom had her own studio/gallery where she held classes.
My art projects include painting, etching, drawing, children’s book illustration and animation, needle felting, sculpture in clay and wood carving.

Music
I started playing guitar at nine years of age. When I was in college, a girlfriend and I started writing songs and giving concerts. We were both very surprised by getting signed by Sparrow Records in Southern California, after which we traveled all over the states and beyond as “Wendy and Mary”.

I was asked to do vocal work on many albums of other artists, and eventually asked to sing the title song for NBC sitcom “Dear John” with Judd Hirsche. In 1995 I married recording artist Don Francisco, and began orchestrating albums, planning and performing on tours nationwide and overseas, and working on album production. I’ve recorded my own albums, both instrumental and with songs I’ve written.

I wrote recorded and animated You Tube video GoD and DoG which has had millions of views.

Animals, Kiko Goats, and The Colorado Mountain Dog
I grew up in dude stables, training horses and teaching kids to ride. I’ve owned and worked with animals all my life. In 2009 I founded the ”Colorado Mountain Dog”, a magnificent livestock guardian dog bred to work on smaller acreage and be a bit more comfortable with visitors to the farm. We have a wonderful staff now at the Colorado Mountain Dog Registry, breeders in 20 states, and thousands of dogs working on farms nationwide.

I’ve raised Kiko Goats since 2012, and focus on a hardy goat for homesteading. I host ”Kiko Goat Farms” on Facebook, with over 12 thousand Kiko enthusiasts.
